Jon and Chelsea Sherman founded 24hr Pottery with a vision to create a community-centered art space offering the flexibility and accessibility often missing in traditional pottery studios. They recognized a gap in the market for creative spaces that fit into modern, busy lifestyles—especially for tech professionals, parents, and individuals seeking self-care who couldn’t always participate during standard business hours.
Seeing the growing demand for 24-hour access and community-driven creative outlets, they launched 24hr Pottery to empower people to create on their own schedules. Their mission extended beyond opening studios—they set out to build a sustainable, replicable business model that other entrepreneurs could adopt.
By developing proprietary software and systems for membership management and keyless access control, Jon and Chelsea have transformed 24hr Pottery into more than just a studio—it’s a movement designed to nurture creativity, strengthen communities, and help people reconnect through art.
Today, they operate five member-based studios and one community art center, with additional locations on the way. When they’re not mentoring other studio owners or growing the 24hr Pottery network, their days are joyfully filled with chasing after their three young daughters and their dog, Clay—a reminder that creativity, family, and a little bit of chaos often go hand in hand.
